    Since\u00a0this\u00a0tutorial\u00a0demonstrates\u00a0a\u00a0dual-boot\u00a0installation\u00a0of\u00a0macOS\u00a0and\u00a0deepin\u00a023,\u00a0partitioning\u00a0is\u00a0required\u00a0in\u00a0macOS\u00a0before\u00a0proceeding.\u00a0The\u00a0new\u00a0partition\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0used\u00a0for\u00a0deepin\u00a023\u00a0installation.<\/p>\n

    Create\u00a0a\u00a0new\u00a0partition\u00a0and\u00a0set\u00a0the\u00a0format.\u00a0Since\u00a0deepin\u00a0and\u00a0macOS\u00a0use\u00a0different\u00a0disk\u00a0partition\u00a0formats,\u00a0set\u00a0the\u00a0format\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0new\u00a0partition\u00a0to\u00a0MS-DOS\u00a0(FAT).\u00a0This\u00a0will\u00a0allow\u00a0deepin\u00a0to\u00a0reformat\u00a0it\u00a0to\u00a0EXT4\u00a0during\u00a0installation.\u00a0The\u00a0new\u00a0partition\u00a0should\u00a0be\u00a0at\u00a0least\u00a065GB;\u00a0installation\u00a0may\u00a0fail\u00a0with\u00a0less\u00a0space.<\/p>\n

    1\u3001<\/strong>Enter\u00a0EFI\u00a0Boot<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Restart\u00a0the\u00a0Mac\u00a0and\u00a0press\u00a0and\u00a0hold\u00a0the\u00a0Option\u00a0key\u00a0during\u00a0the\u00a0boot\u00a0process.\u00a0The\u00a0boot\u00a0disk\u00a0selection\u00a0screen\u00a0will\u00a0appear\u00a0(similar\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0BIOS\u00a0boot\u00a0menu\u00a0on\u00a0Windows\u00a0PCs).\u00a0Select\u00a0EFI\u00a0Boot\u00a0to\u00a0boot\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0deepin\u00a023\u00a0installation\u00a0USB\u00a0drive.<\/p>\n

    2\u3001<\/strong>Enter Deepin 23 Installer<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

    After\u00a0selecting\u00a0EFI\u00a0Boot,\u00a0the\u00a0system\u00a0will\u00a0boot\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0deepin\u00a023\u00a0installation\u00a0USB\u00a0drive.\u00a0Since\u00a0this\u00a0tutorial\u00a0uses\u00a0a\u00a0Ventoy-created\u00a0bootable\u00a0drive,\u00a0the\u00a0screen\u00a0will\u00a0display\u00a0the\u00a0following\u00a0interface:<\/p>\n

    (If you only copied one image to the Ventoy bootable drive, there will only be one image here, and there are multiple images in the picture because there are many images of other distributions stored on the USB drive):<\/p>\n

    The next steps are the same as using Ventoy to install the deepin 23 system on a Windows computer. We select the corresponding image. This tutorial is for an Intel chip computer, and we choose deepin desktop community 23-amd64.iso to enter the next interface.<\/p>\n

    Then select 'Boot in grub2 mode' to proceed to the next interface. Important reminder, please do not select 'Boot in normal mode' like under Windows!!!<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Formally enter the interface of Deepin 23 image installer, as shown below:<\/p>\n

    Because Apple's last generation Intel chip computer was released in 2019, we have chosen to install the 6.6 kernel directly here: Install deepin 23 with kernel 6.6 desktop.<\/p>\n

    Next, we will see the familiar installation interface for deepin 23:<\/p>\n

    Since this tutorial demonstrates a dual-boot setup with macOS, and we have partitioned under macOS previously,so we select\u00a0 \u201cCustom Installation\u201d now.<\/p>\n

    For\u00a0users\u00a0installing\u00a0deepin\u00a023\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0only\u00a0operating\u00a0system\u00a0on\u00a0their\u00a0Mac,\u00a0select\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cFull\u00a0Disk\u00a0Installation\u201d\u00a0instead.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Once\u00a0the\u00a0installation\u00a0is\u00a0complete,\u00a0the\u00a0success\u00a0screen\u00a0will\u00a0appear.\u00a0Click\u00a0Restart\u00a0Now\u00a0and\u00a0immediately\u00a0remove\u00a0the\u00a0USB\u00a0drive.\u00a0The\u00a0system\u00a0will\u00a0reboot\u00a0into\u00a0deepin\u00a023.<\/p>\n

    On\u00a0first\u00a0boot,\u00a0configure\u00a0your\u00a0system\u00a0settings\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0account,\u00a0language,\u00a0and\u00a0network.\u00a0After\u00a0configuration,\u00a0deepin\u00a023\u00a0is\u00a0ready\u00a0to\u00a0use.<\/p>\n
