On November 28, the 10th DDUC (Deepin Developer and User Conference)\u00a0was successfully held in Beijing Xinchuang Park, BDA<\/span>,<\/span> with t<\/span>he theme <\/span>-<\/span> Deepin is Complete Because of You<\/span>. Developers and users who have involved in the construction and development of deepin\u00a0community over the past ten years\u00a0played the leading roles of this activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

This conference has been widely concerned by <\/span>d<\/span>eepin users, open-source communities and technology enthusiasts at home and abroad.\u00a0More than 200,000 people have watched <\/span>the <\/span>DDUC online\u00a0witnessing\u00a0the growth of deepin and DDUC\u00a0in the past decade.<\/span><\/p>\n

The influence of <\/span>deepin <\/span>in the world<\/span> continues improv<\/span>ing<\/span>. With more than 1 million real users worldwide, 8 overseas communities and 135 mirror sites in more than 40 countries, deepin has become a popular community operating system for global users.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2014\u2014 Developer Contest <\/span>came to a successful conclusion \u2014\u2014<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

T<\/span>o<\/span> attract <\/span>more developers to pay attention to the operating system ecology and participate in the development of ecological software, UnionTech\u00a0Software and Deepin\u00a0community jointly hosted the \"<\/span>Xi<\/span>n<\/span>chuang<\/span>\u00a0\u00b7 Future <\/span>2020 <\/span>National Developer Contest\", which was also strongly supported by cooperative partners such as Loongson, 360, Kingsoft\u00a0Office and Highgo\u00a0Software.<\/span><\/p>\n

After rigorous and meticulous evaluation by the review team, six works were <\/span>award<\/span>ed, which support Loongson, Huawei and other CPU platforms, covering games, programming languages, practical tools, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zhang Lei, CTO of Deepin Technology and founder of the deepin community, delivered a speech named <\/span>Advancing with the Times<\/em>,<\/em> Move Forward Together <\/em>for <\/em>One Decade,<\/em> shar<\/span>ing<\/span> the technical accumulation of deepin in the past decade and its subsequent technical plan. <\/span><\/p>\n

In retrospect of the past <\/span>decade<\/span> of DDUC <\/span>& <\/span>deepin, Wang Mingdong, <\/span>P<\/span>roduct <\/span>D<\/span>irector of Deepin Technology, took everyone through this remarkable journey together, in which deepin successfully jumped to No. 10 on <\/span>the global open source OS ranking in 2019, pioneering as the first Chin<\/span>e<\/span>se operating system on this list ever.<\/span><\/p>\n

At present, Deepin Technology provides a variety of participating channels for better and joint building of the deepin community, ranging from community development programs, documentation for DTK, community translation projects, the co-founding of a Wiki knowledge bank, and the maintenance of community app stores. <\/span><\/p>\n

Working as both a doctor and a Linux t<\/span>esting engineer at the same time<\/span>, <\/span>Houge Langley shared his story with deepin and expressed his perspective on the ecology of open source community.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a member of the 8KRAW organization for professional photographers, Huang Yijun gave an introduction on how he had been using photography and video tools under deepin. According to him, deepin is fully capable of supporting all his needs in terms of camera work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zhou Ziyi comes from the Xiyou LUG team, a Linux fans club of Xi'an University of Posts & Telecommunications (XUPT). He shared the connections and memor<\/span>ies<\/span> between Xiyou LUG and deepin, introducing that Zhang Lei, CTO of Deepin Technology, and many other his colleagues had made continuous contributions to both Xiyou LUG and other LUG teams around China by playing an active part in multiple open source campaigns hosted by Xiyou LUG and supporting their team expansion efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n
